Qualifications

International students are defined as those who are neither citizens of the Republic of China (R.O.C.), nor Overseas Chinese.These regulations are not applicable for those of Hong Kong or Macao citizenship.

International students with a high school diploma are eligible to apply for undergraduate study at Taiwan Shoufu University; students with a bachelor degree are eligible to apply for admission to Master’s programs at Taiwan Shoufu University. Those institutions from which applicants graduated(or studied)must be accredited schools approved by the Ministry of Education (MOE) of the R.O.C. as well as in accordance with the rules of foreign degrees authentication promulgated by the MOE. Otherwise, the application will not be accepted. Those who apply under the provisions of equivalent qualification will have their applications processed according to the latest regulations of the MOE in effect. Program Duration

  • Undergraduate programs:4 years of study for all majors.
  • Master programs: the maximum years of study for MA programs range from 1 to 4 years.

Tuition & Incidental Fees

Total expenses for a semester are about NT$45,000~55,000.

Application Deadline

International application for admission shall be submitted to Office of International and Cross Strait Affairs before May 31 every year.

How to Apply

  • Applying in Person: Applicants may apply in person or have a third party submit the application, which should submit the application form to Office of International and Cross Strait Affairs.
  • Applying by Mail: Applicants should submit the application form to Office of International and Cross Strait Affairs. (Tel.:+886-6-5718888 ext.101, 102; E-mail: oicsa@tsu.edu.tw). Any application postmarked beyond the deadline will not be accepted.

Admission Requiements

  • Copy of the highest academic diploma and the transcript of the highest educational degree (notarized copy translated into English or Chinese is necessary if the original document is not in English or Chinese) authenticated by R.O.C. embassies, representative, consulates, or other Mission authorized by Taiwan Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Recent college / university graduates who have not yet received their official diploma when applying for admission must submit their diploma when they report to Taiwan Shoufu University; otherwise, the admission will be canceled.
  • Copy of passport or other equivalent verification of nationality.
  • The validated financial statement by overseas diplomatic offices indicating sufficient funds for staying in Taiwan (except the financial statement is provided by an organization or a bank in Taiwan).
  • Health certificate (including HIV test).
  • Chinese or English Study Plan (for graduate program applicants only).
  • Two Recommendation Letters (for graduate program applicants only).
  • Autobiography (about 1000 words).
  • Other materials required by specific departments / section.
